Work on removing the black hole tent has finished with work on removal the station barrel now in full swing. The concrete slab the ride used to sit on still remains but we suspect over the next few weeks it will be removed. A few trees have also been cut down towards the top of the site.

More SW7 Plans
Friday 10th February 2012
Today we bring you news on Alton Towers new ride for the 2013 season code named SW7 standing for secret weapon number 7. In this update we see more of the ride’s plans uploaded onto the local council’s website, now in these new plans we get to see 3 bits of themeing that the ride is going to have! If you have visited the park before and have been in x sector then the themeing is going to be just like it is currently but on a bigger budget and 5 times bigger and better! In the photos we have got below we see one huge centre object looking like something fro the war of the worlds move, however in the other 2 photos we see the station has been made bigger now this looks like it could be due to health and safety.

Alton Towers SW7 plans
Thursday 5th January 2012
Alton Towers have relieved what they are planing to build for there 2013 theme park season and wow its looking up to be a good year already. The ride looks to be a euro fighter but with a twist it doesn't have a chain lift hill meaning that the ride is going to be a multi launch ride. Although the site may look small the ride is going to be huge as Alton Towers are making full use of the space around the black hole site. The ride is going to go over the toilets that are currently near the Black Hole and the tent is going to be taken down once these plans are approved by the local council. Now Alton Towers have put a date on the ride plans saying that they would like them done by the half term when the park opens for some half term fun meaning that when the park closes again that the park would be able to take the tent down when the area is safe and when no one is around to get hurt if something was to fall.

Alton Towers Black Hole Track Removal
Monday 15th September 2008
Alton Towers continues to remove the rollercoaster track from the Black Hole tent in X Sector. Supports are still being dragged out of the tent, hopefully, something will replace Black Hole in the next few years.
