Thorpe Park 2023 Theme Park Season Preparations Continue

Thorpe Park reopens for the 2023 theme park season in just a few months' time and work is still ongoing around the park to get things ready. The biggest maintenance job that's visible from monks walk and across the lake is COlossus, which currently has scaffolding around the lift hill. As well as track sections missing due to the re-tracking of the ride. With lots of trees being removed in Old Town, we can now see these bits of track missing from Monks Walk.

That's not the only thing now visible from monks walk, you can now see most of Saw The Ride and Samauri which is still packed up for winter. With the ride not running the arms, seats and counterbalance weights have been taken off for inspections and maintenance.

Vortex is still undergoing its winter checks with the backs of the seats removed, Rush also appears to still be missing its seats. Recently posted in the Thorpe Park Annual Pass Group, the park is doing work to the old Saw Alive plaza area and has stated that the boat will be relocated soon, the view of the island could change sooner than we know it!

Mr Monkey's Banana Boat ride is still under scaffolding and has work done to it. The roof of Rumba Rapids looks to have been repainted or jet washed. The Tea Cups are still sitting on their side waiting to be reassembled over the next few months. And it would appear that the pizza and pasta building is having some work done to it, workers could be seen removing panels from the building.

Over at Nemesis Inferno, the second train which was previously sat tied up on the brake run looks to have been moved into the maintenance bay with the ride's second train moved into the station. Visible in some of our photos! It would appear that new nighttime lights have also been added to the exit path of the ride. New fences have been installed around power supply for the ride over the past few weeks.

Of course, this is only a glimpse of what's going on around the park! There's so much more going on that we don't see.
