Chessington World of Adventures was forced to close on Monday 10th August due to a water outage affecting the local area. The closure was announced at around 10am, with Chessington advising guests with tickets booked for the day not to travel to the Resort.

The World of Minecraft at Chessington has taken another huge leap forward this week, with the steelwork for the new shop and toilet building now complete.

The World of Minecraft development at Chessington World of Adventures just keeps getting bigger. The rollercoaster building is now looking enormous, with significant progress made since our last visit to the park.

Vampire at Chessington World of Adventures has been closed since Thursday, 9 July 2026. Earlier this week, scaffolding could be seen being installed around the rollercoaster’s second lift hill, suggesting that repair work is now under way.

Work has begun to remove the former Go Ape course at Chessington World of Adventures.

Elmer’s Flying Jumbos has reopened at Chessington World of Adventures! The family ride had been closed for more than a year following an incident, with its colourful elephant ride vehicles later removed while work was carried out.

More track and supports have been delivered for Chessington World of Adventures’ new Minecraft rollercoaster.

Vampire’s Ride Access Pass queue has now moved to the ride’s main entrance and Fastrack queue line, while Trail of the Kings has closed. With the former access route and surrounding area no longer in use, could Chessington have future plans for this part of the park?

Elmer’s Flying Jumbos at Chessington looks almost ready to reopen! The ride has been testing, and with work appearing close to completion, it could welcome guests back within the next few days.
