Track Arrives for Serpent's Curse as Construction Continues
Sunday 17th May 2026
Construction is already well underway on Serpent's Curse, the UK's first Mack Rides water rollercoaster, coming to Paultons Park in 2027.
Track for the new attraction has already arrived on site and is currently being stored at the rear of the construction area, while work on the ride's foundations continues to make excellent progress. With more footers appearing across the site, the scale of the project is starting to become clear.
Guests can also already spot themed signage for Serpent's Curse displayed on the construction walls surrounding the site, giving an early glimpse at the attraction's branding and helping to build excitement ahead of its opening.
Serpent's Curse is set to become the next major addition to Valgard – Realm of the Vikings and promises to be one of the most exciting new attractions opening in the UK next year.
With groundwork progressing quickly and track already delivered, we don't expect it will be long before the ride starts to rise above the construction site, with supports and track rapidly transforming the skyline.

Sunday 7th September 2025
Today marks the last day we’re able to get up close to the Project 2027 site at Paultons Park, as Edge, Cobra, and Magma all close to make way for what’s next.
It’s strange to think how different this area will look in just a few months’ time. Rumour has it that the track and supports for whatever’s coming next will be delivered and installed during the park’s closed season.
For now, there’s not much visible progress on site — apart from the appearance of Mack Rides ground pins near the edge of the construction area. Still, with the park’s next chapter beginning to take shape, excitement is definitely building for what 2027 will bring.

Wednesday 21st May 2025
Exciting times lie ahead for Paultons Park fans! At the conclusion of the Super Fans 2025 event, attendees were treated to a surprise teaser video—hinting that something new is on the horizon for 2027.
The teaser has sparked a wave of speculation, especially with a dramatic visual: a looming cloud over the park’s newest Vikings-themed area, Valgard. While Valgard is set to open in 2025, it seems the story doesn't end there.
Sharp-eyed fans have noticed Mack Rides footers appearing in the old go karts space—fueling rumors of the new attraction being a mack water coaster of some sort. However, this site won’t be part of Valgard's initial layout, suggesting that the 2027 project could be Phase 2 of the Valgard expansion.
With the park known for its high-quality theming and immersive attractions, expectations are already sky-high. Could we be looking at a major coaster or even a new dark ride experience?
One thing’s for sure—Paultons Park isn’t slowing down. Stay tuned as the saga of Valgard continues!
