Zodiac at Thorpe Park has been closed since 8th June 2025, and since then, work on the ride has appeared minimal as the park awaits a replacement part. What has fans concerned, however, is that Zodiac appears on the park’s official downtime section, but doesn't have a reopening date.
Two of the ride’s cars have been removed, which is thought to be to provide access into the pit where the hydraulics and other key components sit. While this could simply be part of maintenance, the lack of visible progress and the ride’s absence from official updates has only fuelled rumours that Zodiac could be next on the chopping block.
If that were the case, it would be the end of an era. Zodiac is the last Huss Enterprise at a Merlin park, after Alton Towers’ version was removed several years ago. That removal left its former spot abandoned, filled only by temporary food stalls – something many fans feel was a downgrade from such an iconic flat ride.
For now, Thorpe Park has yet to comment on the future of Zodiac. But with uncertainty growing and no clear timeline for its return, the question remains: is this just an extended closure, or the beginning of the end for Zodiac?
