Ground Works Begin On Project Exodus

Thorpe Park
Saturday 9th April 2022

Groundwork on Project Exodus has begun! Whilst riding Saw The Ride today, we noticed that parts of Platform 15 had been removed and that a large drilling machine could be seen in the area. Down Monk's Walk, we also spotted a white van parked down by the previous exit of Roots of Evil which has now been completely removed. A skip can currently be seen under the Nemesis Inferno exit full of old maze props and rubbish.

Two large drilling machines are currently around Old Town drilling holes into the ground, for what we assume will become foundations for the new coaster when approved.  When looking at the machine "Comacchio Geo 205" on Google, it confirms this machine is indeed for foundations.

Walking down Monk's Walk, you can also see the extent of the clearance works for a new maintenance road down into the Old Town area. All of the scare mazes have been removed, including the removal of Roots of Evil, Zombie Hunt and the end scenes of Platform 15. The train remains standing for now but we're sure it won't be long until these trains are relocated to the farm or sold.

This is big news for Project Exodus.

UPDATE: On further googling and research, it looks like this work is to test ground quality around the site.
