New For 2021 Legoland Windsor Lego Mythica Construction Update

Legoland Windsor
Wednesday 14th April 2021

Legoland Windsor Resort is set to debut LEGO Mythica, in 45 days. Subject to government guidelines of lockdown lifting, it should open on the 29th of May and work around the construction site has progressed rapidly since the last time the park was open to guests.

With the pathway to the hotels closed, since nothing is open that way, views of the new area remain limited. However, from Heartlake City you can see 90% of the new area and we got our first glimpse of some of the theming and lego models! In the artwork for the new area, the entrance portal looks huge and beautifully themed and in real life, it looks the same if not better!

The two new drop towers have been installed, with LCDs on the top of the towers, which we expect will show graphics of ice and fire. The entrance signage for the ride Ice and Fire can also be seen through the trees in the distance. Peering through the peepholes on the advertising board, we can also see a few of the LEGO models located around the new area. The retheme of the old fish and chips restaurant is now visible, the restaurant has been covered in grey and blue paint with blue lines and exposed lego sections. Now called The Hungry Troll, the restaurant will still serve fish and chips.

During the closed season, the Flight of the Sky Lion building has been completed and the queue line for the ride has been built next to the building. Some items of theming have also been added to the side of the building visible from Mias Riding Adventure, three windows with some graphics have been added.

Other changes around the site also include a large tentacle Lego Model, a small entrance feature/portal near the hotels, the facade for Creature Encounter has been built and the sign is completed.

We can't wait for the construction walls to come down and for everything to be visible and to be able to walk around the new area. Everything looks amazing and we can't wait to ride the first flying theatre in the UK!
