Halloween at Paultons Park is one of the friendliest – and most delightfully frightful – family Halloween events in the UK. Running from 16th October to 3rd November 2025, the park transforms into a pumpkin-filled wonderland, bursting with colour, atmosphere, and entertainment for all ages.
Event Highlights
The park’s Halloween Spooktacular features a host of seasonal activities and live entertainment throughout the event:
Late Night Openings: 28th, 29th and 30th October 2025
The Little Monsters Ball: 18th–19th October and 24th October–3rd November 2025
The Great Halloween Mystery / Spirit Squad Ghoul School Shows: 24th October–3rd November 2025
Ghostly Manor: A brand-new interactive dark ride, open throughout the event
First Impressions
This year marked our very first visit to Paultons Park during the Halloween season, and we were pleasantly surprised by just how much effort had gone into transforming the park. Unlike Chessington’s Halloween events, which tend to include family-friendly mazes, Paultons focuses on its younger audience – yet it still manages to deliver plenty of atmosphere and charm.
The additional theming around the park is truly impressive. From clusters of giant pumpkins to cobweb-covered displays and spooky decorations, the attention to detail helps immerse you in the Halloween spirit from the moment you arrive.
Entertainment & Shows
We had never previously experienced any of Paultons Park’s live entertainment, but this year’s stage shows – The Little Monsters Ball and Spooky Story Time – were a genuine highlight. Featuring upbeat music, energetic dancing, and lots of audience interaction, the performances kept everyone smiling.
Even when the rain made an appearance during our visit, the cheerful performers and lively atmosphere kept spirits high (no pun intended!). It’s clear that the entertainment team put a great deal of effort into creating fun, family-friendly productions that perfectly capture the Halloween mood.
Characters & Theming
Throughout the park, there are hundreds of pumpkins and autumnal decorations that make for perfect photo opportunities. One of the standout moments of our day was meeting Pickles the Pumpkin, a friendly character who roams the park posing for photos and chatting with visitors. Pickles was an instant hit with children – a lovely addition that adds an extra layer of magic to the experience.
We also couldn’t help but smile when we discovered the talking models near the park entrance. As we were heading back to the car, the models suddenly started speaking to us – completely unexpected, but an adorable surprise that younger guests absolutely loved.
Rides & Queues
One of the best parts of our visit was how smooth the day ran. Queues were minimal, and there was no need for Fastrack passes, which made the whole experience far more relaxed and enjoyable.
The headline attraction for 2025 is undoubtedly Ghostly Manor, the park’s brand-new interactive dark ride. It’s an absolute must-try! We loved the competitive element – there are so many hidden targets to find, and we found ourselves riding again and again to improve our scores.
We’d love to see Paultons consider adding seasonal overlays to Ghostly Manor in future years. With its clever use of digital projections, it would be simple to refresh for different seasons or events, adding even more replay value.
Final Thoughts
Paultons Park’s Halloween Spooktacular is the perfect family day out for those who prefer a friendly fright over a full-on scare. The combination of charming theming, lively entertainment, and short queues made for a thoroughly enjoyable visit.
Whether you’re visiting for the rides, the atmosphere, or simply to soak up some Halloween magic, this event is well worth a trip.
Our rating: 8/10 – A delightfully spooky day out!
We can’t wait to return later in the year to see how the park transforms for Christmas.
