The entrance area at Thorpe Park has had a bit of a refresh, with new branding now on the signs above the main gateway. In the centre, there used to be a digital screen that showed info about upcoming events, but over the past few years it’s been broken more often than not, as parts for it became hard to get.
The new look is a nice change and definitely stands out, but it’s also caused some debate online. A lot of people think parts of the design were made using AI, especially with things like the Hyperia logo and The Swarm’s flying aliens looking a bit off from how they normally appear.
That said, there are some fun details. One cool Easter egg is the yellow car from The Inbetweeners, with the names of the main characters written on it.
We’d love to see the signage change throughout the year—like a Fright Nights version for Halloween would be great.
Overall, the entrance plaza has needed a refresh for a while. We’d even go as far as saying the whole area could be demolished and redone from scratch. Maybe in the future we’ll see something big—like a hotel where guests can walk straight through the ground floor and into the park.
