Even with the rain pouring down, there’s no slowing down the incredible progress at Paultons Park as work continues on the brand-new Valgard area, opening in 2026 — and it’s already looking phenomenal!

The star attraction, Drakon, is steadily coming together. New track and support sections are being delivered to the site every week, with the transfer track and brake run recently arriving — both key pieces of this highly anticipated rollercoaster. Inside the construction zone, track pieces and supports are waiting to be installed, and the station building is really taking shape, featuring detailed roof painting and a wooden-framed entrance currently being test-fitted on site.

Meanwhile, over at Raven (formerly Cobra), the transformation continues. The ride’s undercoat now covers most of the structure, and its final new paintwork is being applied to several sections of track and supports. In addition, a brand-new roof is being installed over the station building, giving the attraction a refreshed and refined look.

The Vild Swing — the UK’s first of its kind — is also making great progress. The operator’s booth is now complete, the air compressor tank has been fitted, and a piece of theming resembling a totem pole has been delivered, hinting at the Nordic-inspired design of Valgard.

In other park updates, perhaps the most striking change to the skyline is that Magma is now gone! However, Edge still remains standing for now, holding its place in the landscape as the park continues to evolve.

All in all, the future looks thrilling at Paultons Park — Valgard is shaping up to be an incredible new realm of adventure, mythology, and world-class rides!
