Fright Nights is just around the corner, starting Friday 9th October! Halloween is almost here and we can already smell the chainsaw petrol in the air and the taste of smoke machines.
This year is going to be slightly different to previous years, with no inside mazes and all Fright Nights attractions being based outside. As an addition this year, both of the mazes will have time slots for your group to take part in and cost £10 for each visit.
With social distancing, mazes are being converted to allow for distanced scares and Platform 15, the maze is being reserved! From riding Saw The Ride, we can see that the village you used to walk through, has been taken down in preparation for everything to be rotated. With the entrance by The Samauari exit, the sets would have been viewed from behind.
The old Canada Creek Railway train, previously seen at the start of the maze, is also getting some work done to it. The main train carriage at the front has been pushed onto its side; creating a great bollard to walk around. Allowing actors to stand one side of the train and scare guests through it. Other small changes for Platform 15 include; new music and a possible extension for the maze, in a scene previously used by Zombie Hunt, new Platform 15 posters have been put up.
In the space previously used by Blair Witch, a new maze Roots of Evil is currently being installed. Some of the plants that created the forset effect have been removed, along with a watchtower installed. This will also allow for socially distanced scares. In the old Blair Witch shed, more lights look to have been installed and a new actor door into the shed has been cut into the side. More platforms and cargo netting can be seen around the maze.
A school bus has been installed for the Howling of lycanthorpe high scare zone, possibly for another dance-off/ scare zone, similar to the Amity high one seen last year. Extra details can be seen with two werewolves claw scratches painted on the side of the bus. Inside the bus, two of the windows have been removed and a DJ booth looks to have been installed.
Creek Freaks Unchained is yet to have any work done to it yet, all of the benches around the area have been removed ready for stuff to be set up and a single golden bell has been installed at the exit of the Creek Freak maze. We believe that when this bell is run that all the Buckwheat family will escape and the chainsaws will begin!
The Fearstival Arena stage is currently being used for the parks Oktoberfest event and strobe lights have already been installed ready for Fright Nights! A large smoke machine has also been installed. Hopefully, the area is given more of a Fright Nights makeover before the event begins.
Terror At Amity High was a favourite for lots of people last year, with the scare zone and dance show at Stealth being a big hit. This year's setup looks to be the same as last year, with the same bus installed in the Stealth area. Banners from last years event can still be seen in front of the bus.
Theming for The Swarm Invasion scare zone looks to be being built at the compound, with fake barbed wire installed on wooden posts. Currently, this is the only work being done for the new scare zone.
Fright Nights Fearstival starts from 9th - 11th October & 16th October - 1st November.
