Joker’s Jinx was one of Six Flags America’s signature coasters, a launched LIM (linear-induction-motor) roller coaster that blasted riders from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds. The spaghetti-bowl layout—filled with tangled loops, corkscrews, and sudden turns—delivered four inversions in a whirlwind 75-second experience. The ride’s chaotic design perfectly matched its namesake DC villain, The Joker, with purple and green track winding in a dense mess above the Gotham City section. Opened in 1999, Joker’s Jinx was celebrated for its powerful launch and compact intensity, remaining one of the park’s standout steel coasters.
