Roar

Roar was a large wooden roller coaster built by Great Coasters International that opened at Six Flags America in 1998. Standing 95 feet tall and stretching 3,468 feet in length, it reached speeds of 50 mph through a tightly woven “twister” layout full of banking turns and airtime hills. Roar was known for its rough-and-tumble personality and the distinct rumble of its wooden track, appealing to coaster traditionalists who appreciated its classic design. As one of the few modern wooden coasters in the mid-Atlantic, it became a fan favorite for its mix of speed, noise, and relentless pacing.
