Alton Towers Hotel

The Alton Towers Hotel was the first hotel to appear at the resort. The Hotel tells the story of Sir Algenon, A world-renowned  explorer who has explored the world on his flying ship. The only issue is, he's crashed it into the resort!


The ship is the main entertainment area of the hotel, with The Fabulous Scott Family performing song covers in the evening. On the ground floor we have The Dragon Bar, with oriental themes. This bar is open all year round and the main source for your evening tipple. 


There is also another bar that can open during the busy periods, this being The Captain's Bar, this bar is behind Sir Algenon's Ship.


The hotel has one main restaurant, The Secret Garden. Providing a variety of British and International Dishes,This is also where hotel guests meet for breakfast before their busy day in the park.


The main rooms available are as follows: 



  • Explorer Rooms: These rooms are the standard, featuring the original decor.

  • Arctic Explorer Rooms: These rooms can be upgraded to for an extra fee (At the time of writing this is usually around £50)

  • Moon Voyager Rooms: These rooms can be upgraded to for an extra fee (At the time of writing this is usually around £50)


There are also 13 Themed Rooms in the Alton Towers hotel, these range from Ride themed rooms such as The Smiler Room to Cbeebies themed rooms such as Postman Pat and Tree Fu Tom however, all themed rooms come at a higher cost that the rooms listed above.
