90% Of Nemesis Track Installed August 2023 Update

Alton Towers
Monday 14th August 2023

Nemesis is one step closer to being complete and ready for testing! 90% of the track now looks to be installed with the only sections waiting to be installed being the first section off of the lift hill and the corkscrew.

Since our last major look at Nemesis so much has happened! The loop, Zero-G Roll and Helix have been installed. But this isn't the only major work that's happened, the repainting of the Nemesis station has begun. It would appear that the new colour scheme of the station could be grey and red. Some sections of the station appear to have primer on them at the moment whereas other parts have more dark and intense red and greys.

In a dramatic change, the Nemesis eye has been removed from the station and a new main feature is being installed. Rumours look to suggest this new feature could be a 3D eye or feature screens like Wickerman has on its main theming structure.

Other changes around the site include the grinding down of sections of the track, this is done to make sure all of the joints of the ride are smooth. These then get repainted to make them blend back in, don't panic! The lift hill and break run of the ride are also currently getting repainted, with these sections not needing to be replaced the track colour is going to get an update. It would also appear that the wiring of these sections is getting replaced!

Of course, lots of track remains in the car park near the exit barriers waiting to be installed. We wonder how quickly the rest of the rollercoaster will be installed! With the speed that these sections of track got installed in, we expect it could be complete by the end of August!
