Chessington 2024/25 Closed Season Ends Ride Testing Begins

Chessington World Of Adventures
Sunday 23rd February 2025

Here’s an update from Chessington as the closed season nears its end, with plenty of activity bringing the park back to life!

The temporary construction fences around Sea Storm have come down, signaling that the ride is ready for testing and staff training. Trawler Trouble is also back on its base and set to start spinning again soon.

Over at Vampire, testing has been spotted, though parts of the second train remain outside The Gruffalo Boat Ride, where boats are still stacked up near the Burger Kitchen. The Gruffalo’s lighting appears to have received a refresh during the off-season, as empty lighting boxes have been seen outside the fire exit doors.

Tiny Truckers is nearly fully installed again, with trucks back on track—though the blue truck is still sitting in the pathway. Meanwhile, Flying Jumbos looks ready to take to the skies once more.

Guests are already enjoying a sneak peek of the Adventure Tree Carousel, which has soft-opened for rides while staff training takes place. Over at Dragon’s Fury, testing is underway, with a ride car spotted on the lift hill.

The lights are on at Rattlesnake, with signage displaying a queue time before the ride was seen making its way around the track. Meanwhile, a brand-new sensory building is set to open for the 2025 main season, as revealed by freshly installed signage.

A bit of nostalgia has also surfaced, with some old Pirates’ Cove signage appearing in the zoo. And finally, it’s one last glimpse of Mexicana before construction walls go up soon, marking the next chapter for the area.

Chessington is gearing up for an exciting season ahead—stay tuned for more updates!
