It's our first trip to Chessington since the closed season has begun and it's time to take a look at some of the work going on around the park.
Starting off at the front of the park, the toilets near Dragons Fury are undergoing what looks to be a major revamp. A new entrance to the toilet block appears to be being built next to the Sea Dragons ride. It's currently unclear if this toilet block will be refurbished but fingers crossed!
New security gates have also been installed around the park, securing areas that are closed off. The worst part is that animals in the Land of the Tigers area are now unable to be viewed during the winter, along with the capybaras in The Rainforest area.
Croc Drop is undergoing its yearly maintenance with scaffolding installed around the tower. At the bottom of the tower, the seats have been removed and can be seen towards the back of the ride.
With The Vampire closed this year again, cars for the ride can be sat on palates waiting to be relocated and to be checked. The cars look so different without any seats on them.
Seastorm is undergoing its winter maintenance, all of the vehicles have been taken off and the centrepiece is being stored in its normal location in the old Creepy Cafe area. New motors for the ride can be seen within the ride area waiting to be installed.
It's a busy year for all Merlin parks!
