Elmer’s Flying Jumbos Begins Reassembly for 2026 Season

Elmer’s Flying Jumbos at Chessington has been closed since summer 2025 for its seasonal maintenance, and during that time, the ride was completely removed from its site. Over the past few days, work has begun to reassemble the iconic ride, with the main framework being carefully rebuilt.

Although the ride’s cars haven’t been installed yet, reports suggest they will include new safety restraints and may even feature doors for extra security. It’s not yet confirmed if there will be any other design changes, but the reassembly signals that Elmer’s Flying Jumbos is on track to return for the 2026 season, ready to delight young guests and families once again.
