Europa Park Refreshes Castello dei Medici Queue for 2026

The queue for Castello dei Medici has received a major refresh, with the former pre-show “stretching rooms” removed and replaced by entirely new scenes designed to enhance the ride’s storytelling and atmosphere.

The two stretching rooms are now gone, replaced by two impressive high-ceiling rooms, connected by a beautifully detailed drawing room. Notably, the skeleton in the cage theming remains in the drawing room, preserving a classic element of the original pre-show. Before entering the new rooms, guests encounter a series of mahicans, whose faces are projected with lifelike animations and who speak in German, adding an eerie yet captivating touch. Subtle lighting, intricate props, and immersive sound design draw visitors deeper into the story before the ride even begins.
