Foundations Rising for Chessington’s Next Big Coaster

Work is progressing well on Chessington’s 2027 project, with early construction now clearly taking shape across the site.

Foundations for the new rollercoaster and surrounding area are developing steadily, with concrete continuing to be poured for footers—even during our visit on the opening day of the 2026 theme park season.

There are also strong rumours that the project could be officially announced by Microsoft during Minecraft Live on Saturday 21st March 2026, although this has not yet been confirmed.

It’s still early days, but the scale and pace of construction suggest this could be a major new addition to Chessington for 2027.
