Iconic Corkscrews at Alton Towers Receive Yellow Base Coat

The iconic corkscrews outside the entrance to Alton Towers have been repainted yellow, although the work doesn’t appear to be fully finished just yet. With the main theme park season beginning next weekend, it seems likely that the yellow paint currently visible is just an undercoat. We’d expect that later this week the rest of the structure will be painted in its final colour, with any finishing touches added.

It’s great to see the park taking good care of this iconic structure and giving it some well-deserved attention.
