Is the Vampire Leaving Chessington? Signage Sparks Speculation

Chessington World Of Adventures

Is the Vampire leaving Chessington? There’s a lot of speculation floating around, especially with the recent addition of new signage in the queue line. The sign reads, “Estate sale. Please enquire inside” and has a timer glass next to it — an interesting touch that’s certainly raised some eyebrows. Could this be a hint that something is coming to an end? Some park visitors are drawing comparisons to when Chessington did something similar with Hocus Pocus Hall a few years ago, only to see it replaced with something new.

To add to the mystery, John Wardley, the mastermind behind many of the park's iconic rides, was quoted saying that the Vampire has "a while left in it yet." But the real question on many minds is, how much longer can the ride continue in its current state before a full retrack is required? The Vampire, which just celebrated its 35th anniversary, is one of Chessington's most beloved attractions. Still, with rides of its age, there’s always a looming question of when the repairs and refurbishments will become too costly to delay.

Could the "estate sale" sign be foreshadowing a major change to the ride, or is it just a creative gimmick to spice up the experience for guests?
