LEGOLAND Windsor Begins Major Solar Panel Installation Over Car Parks

Work has officially begun on the installation of solar panels over the car parks at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, marking a major step in the park’s ongoing sustainability efforts. Construction crews have started erecting large metal support beams across one of the main parking areas, which will form the framework for the new solar canopies.

Alongside the structure, equipment and materials for the installation have been spotted on-site, including what appear to be the first sets of mounting systems and solar panel components. Once complete, the covered car park will not only provide shade and weather protection for visitors’ vehicles but also generate renewable energy to help power the resort’s operations.

This significant investment reflects LEGOLAND Windsor’s commitment to becoming more eco-friendly and reducing its environmental impact. By harnessing solar energy, the resort aims to cut down on carbon emissions and contribute to Merlin Entertainments’ broader goal of operating more sustainably across all its attractions.
