Legoland Windsor 2022 Closed Season Update

Legoland Windsor is currently open for Brick Week 2022 and with most of the park open for this event we get a great look at some of the work that's been going on during the closed season. 

Since the parks Christmas event where we saw the new "The Brick" building being built. lots more work has happened around the park. Starting off in the car parks parts of the Vikings River Splash ride can still be seen. Boats look to have started to be put back together with some of the boats having the huge tires reinstalled at the base of the boats. During a storm last year the roof on the Vikings River Splash queue line was left damaged this looks to have now been fixed during the closed season with a new roof fitted to the queue line. 

A big change with the rapids at Legoland Windsor is that around the ride new huts have been installed. We expect that this is for staff to stand in around the ride and to keep guests seated and to e-stop the ride if needed. We spotted 2 of these new huts in addition to the ones already around the ride. 

Some of the buildings in the area Duplo Valley appear to have been damaged during the storm and the toilets next door to Farmer Joes Chicken Shack appear to be getting a refurb. 

All of the water rides around the park are closed as part of Brick Week with the exception of Lego City Deep Sea however we've noticed a very cool detail on Hydros challenge you wouldn't normally be able to see. The wheels that drive the ride have little caps on them with the lego brand engraved into them. It's the little details that make Legoland special! 

The Jolly Rocker is also still undergoing its winter maintenance checks and work with the frame for the ride nowhere to be seen. During the closed season, the boat is propped up using some scaffolding to stop it from moving. Pepping through the woods of Pirate Falls a small wooden hut can also be seen from the parks Christmas event. This was used for guests to go and see Father Christmas. 

The Hill Train remains closed for Brick Week with the trains parked up on the hill. However one of the stations for the transport ride is getting a huge makeover in time for the new theme park season. The station in the middle of the park and next to Ninjago has been completely flattened and is being rebuilt. Little yellow tags can be seen in the ground red for new foundations to be dug and installed. It's not clear when this ride will reopen but we're sure the park will do its best to have it ready ASAP. 

Legoland Windsor is looking great and we cant wait for the park to reopen!
