Nemesis 95% Of Track Installed And Station Painting Continues

Alton Towers
Wednesday 13th September 2023

Work on Nemesis at Alton Towers has reached a new milestone, The iconic Corkscrew has been installed and only 4/5 sections of track are left to be installed. However, with the track holding compounds now empty and dismantled there’s no sign of the extra bits of track. Supports for the turn-around section after the lift hill have already been installed ready for the track when it's delivered. Looking into the site from the gate near the car park you can see the track for the turn-around section installed and floating in mid-air. Just waiting to be connected again to the lift hill.

Refurbishment work on the station continues with the wooden structure previously seen in the corner where the old Nemesis eye was now removed. We wonder if this was placed here to build hype or if it was put there to mark out where some new theming element will be installed over the closed season. The repainting of the station continues with the grey paint on the top of the station now darkened to make the station look more sinister again.

It looks like there might be a new exit out of the Nemesis ride building, The cutout in the side of the station where the single rider queue line used to enter has been made bigger and looks to be being themed.

Work on repainting the bus installed on the side of the bank has also begun. Scaffolding can be seen around the bus for what we expect will be a repaint and retheme of the element. The lift hill and break run have also finally been repainted yet black with the rails still yet to receive a repaint. We wonder if these sections will receive the veins artwork like the new sections of the track have received?
