Nemesis Flys Back Into Place

Alton Towers
Friday 16th June 2023

The early bird catches the flying Nemesis track!

As soon as we arrived at Alton Towers today it was clear that the team rebuilding Nemesis arnt sitting around and are taking advantage of the good summer weather to crane in new sections of track.

Since our last visit the inversion has been completed and sections of track for the turnaround section have been installed. Although the turnaround is yet to be completed the familiar view of Nemesis's banked turn is slowly returning, it won't be long until trains are roaring past again with guests screaming and enjoying themselves.

Two sections of track have been lifted into place during our quick visit to the theme park today. Supports have been installed in the far left corner of the site. Home to the turnaround section and loop, there are no signs of the track for the loop yet but over the next few weeks, we expect that this whole section will be complete! Possibly by the end of June / start of July.

Over in the car park where most of the track is being stored the zero-g roll can be seen waiting to be installed. It would also appear a small compound has been created at the top of the site where the cranes are located. Some sections of the track can be seen within the construction site and in the car park.

Another small change in the area is that the new signage for The Blade has been painted blue. Could this mean that the area around Nemesis is set to tempoary close again very soon?

It's not every day you get to see sections of track fly into the pit of Nemesis!
