A refreshed and reimagined version of a LEGOLAND Windsor classic is now open for the 2025 season: the LEGOLAND Express.

Originally introduced in 1996 and built by Severn Lamb, the LEGOLAND Express has been a gentle, family-friendly train ride through the park’s brick-built scenery for nearly three decades. Now, the ride has received a fresh new look and an impressive set of enhancements that bring it firmly into the modern era of theme park experiences.

The updates begin at the station, which has been completely repainted and fitted with new signage. Onboard audio has also been added, offering a more immersive experience as guests travel through the attraction. However, the biggest transformation comes in the form of 23 brand-new scenes filled with detailed LEGO models. Many of these new additions include moving parts, water features, lighting effects, and other surprises designed to delight riders of all ages.

The ride also features a new storyline to tie everything together. Guests are invited to join the world’s most famous — and somewhat forgetful — photographer, who keeps missing his perfect shots. It’s up to riders to help him spot all the animals and LEGO models scattered throughout the journey, so he can finally win the Click Brick Trophy, the most prestigious award in his field.

This thoughtful overhaul breathes new life into a ride that has long been due for some attention, and it’s clear that LEGOLAND has invested both time and creativity into making the LEGOLAND Express feel fresh, interactive, and exciting again.
