Internationally acclaimed attraction, Paultons Park, has released brand-new photo sharing functionality in its bespoke app.

Guests can now easily download digital copies of their memorable ride photos by simply scanning a QR code. This functionality, the first of its kind for UK theme park apps, also digitises guest photo passes, previously only available in paper format.

Lawrence Mancey, Business Systems and Marketing Manager at Paultons Park said: “We have been working closely with Pomvom, First Option Software, and Jugo Systems over the past six weeks to deliver the new photo integration functionality. The collaboration of all parties has enabled us to provide a brilliant experience for our guests visiting this summer and beyond.

“Our new app has been continually upgraded and improved since its successful launch in February 2022 and is now the best-in-class app among UK theme parks. Our brand is clear, and the app functionality allows us to change theming seasonally, such as for Halloween and Christmas.”

Paultons Park has partnered with Pomvom since 2000 to provide ride photography. The leading software company’s patented technology enables real-time media streaming at scale, without compromising guest privacy.

Jason Ede, UK and EU Operations Director at Pomvom, commented: “We’re really proud of the functionality we have been able to offer Paultons Park. They are providing guests with huge added value features by combining our platform seamlessly with their own. As the digital partner of over 40 top parks and attractions, including Warner Brothers and Madame Tussauds, we can confidently say that Paultons Park’s guest app is punching above its weight and is truly best-in-class.”

As well as the new photography functionality, the Paultons Park app provides guests with key information such as park opening dates and hours, as well as live data on queue and show times. In addition, the app offers visitors an interactive, high-fidelity map with directions and real-time user location, enabling guests to easily navigate the 140-acre Park.

The app has been commended by guests and several have likened the mobile experience to that offered at international Disney World parks. Additional app functionality includes:

Visibility of and ability to download Park tickets

Digital annual passes

Detail on height restrictions for rides

Food and drink menus

Targeted notifications

Information and facts on the attraction’s hundreds of animals

Park news

Lawrence continued: “We’re delighted with the response we have already received from guests on our new app and its latest functionality updates. We are looking forward to releasing more exciting functionality in the months to come!”

Paultons Park, situated on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire, showcases several dedicated lands including dinosaur themed area Lost Kingdom, 1980s Americana themed world Tornado Springs, and the UK-exclusive home of Peppa Pig World. It has been recognised as one of the world’s leading attractions by Tripadvisor and held the title as the UK’s best-rated amusement park for an unbeaten five years in a row.
