It may still be a few months away, but many of the setups from Scarefest 2025 are still in place at Alton Towers, with very little having changed so far.
Over at Edge of the Forest, some of the queue line and all of the attraction’s signs have now been removed. However, the queue that runs into the forest and through the trees is still standing, although there are currently no visible references to it being a scare maze. It would be great to see the attraction return for Scarefest 2026, possibly with a new sign inviting guests back to experience Edge of the Forest once again.
Elsewhere, other scare maze structures such as Compound are still standing, along with Amigos in the Afterlife, which we would expect could return again for 2026.
Meanwhile, Altonville Mine Tours is also still present, but many fans believe this could finally be the year it’s replaced with a brand-new maze, as the attraction has been running for quite some time now.
With The Attic removed last year and not replaced within the Towers themselves, there are also rumours that the park may no longer be allowed to build new mazes inside the historic Towers building.
For now, everything remains largely unchanged, but it certainly leaves us wondering what might return and what could be new for Scarefest 2026.
