Scarefest 2021 Construction Begins

Alton Towers
Monday 30th August 2021

Scarefest construction has begun at Alton Towers, with the indoor mazes mostly left installed inside the towers from the previous Scarefest.  Work is being focused on building Freak Show: Toxic Junkyard (next to Goal Striker) and building what we expect is the new family-friendly attraction, Trick O' Treat Town.

A new wooden structure is being built next to the Alton Towers Dungeon building, we expect that this Tick O' Treat Town, the new attraction for 2021.  The maze could use some of the old Charlie and the Chocolate factory space that's still unused from the dungeons takeover. Tickets for Trick O' Treat Town are priced at £10 each, with every adult requiring a ticket to walk through. With such a high priced tag, we hope that the length of the Halloween walkthrough is going to be quite long. But on the upside, you do get sweets!

The shipping containers for Freak Show Toxic Junkyard have been craned into place.  Interestingly, this year it seems to just be stacked one container high! Theming can be seen stored along the access path, previously used for the exit of the maze last year. Darkest Depths remains set up, with music heard testing during the week. Other construction around the park remains quiet, with Ocoktberfest starting in two weeks time.
