Scarefest 2024 Construction Update September Edition

Alton Towers
Tuesday 10th September 2024

Exciting developments are underway for Alton Towers Scarefest 2024! Over at the new Nemesis Reborn/Phalanx scare maze, named COMPOUND, speakers have been installed in the containers visible from the Curse of Alton Manor toilet block. The big question remains: where will guests enter this new maze? An entrance through Forbidden Valley seems logical, but it might be quite a walk to reach the maze's starting point.

Daz Games Reloaded is making a return, with its installation currently underway in the events marquee. Meanwhile, the Alton Vile Mine Tours maze has seen a permanent gate added to its entrance, though the speakers in the queue have been removed and left on the floor for now.

Amigos in the Afterlife, the new family-friendly maze taking over the old Alton Towers Dungeons space, is getting a lively makeover. Work is progressing at the entrance, with brightly colored barrels spotted, ready to be installed and add a fun twist to the experience.

No visible work has been noted yet for the Trick or Treat area and other family attractions, but a new tent or scare zone space has been set up where Darkest Depths was located last year. However, it seems this space won’t be used for 2024.

Over at the Burial Grounds, work has begun on rebuilding this Wicker Man-themed scare zone, promising a chilling and immersive atmosphere.

We can't wait to see the Forbidden Valley area come alive at night again! With all these exciting updates, Scarefest 2024 is shaping up to be a spine-tingling experience!
