With Rumba Rapids now closed forever, attention is already turning to Fright Nights and where Thorpe Park could introduce a new maze next. One of the largest available spaces for a potential attraction could be the former Rumba Rapids ride area and queue line.
Sand has now been placed in the trough, and fresh woodwork can be seen on site, along with black Fright Nights-style maze flaps being installed to block views into the area. This strongly suggests early preparation work could already be underway.
With Fright Nights celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, we’re expecting something big to arrive to mark the occasion with a bang. This location could be the perfect setting for a major new Fright Nights maze.
