Review of Dr. Fright's Halloween Nights: Route 666 Vol. 2
If you’re looking for a thrilling Halloween experience, Dr. Fright's Halloween Nights: Route 666 Vol. 2 is not to be missed. Located in Northamptonshire, this event is packed with frights and fun, making it one of the best Halloween events of the year.
The entire experience lasts around half an hour, during which you’ll journey through eight brilliantly themed mazes in a single run. A much-appreciated break comes halfway through for toilets and a breather, letting you recover from the spine-chilling scares before diving back in. Before the break, you enter two mazes at a time, with a short queue between each set, which keeps the pacing perfect and the anticipation high.
The theming is phenomenal, making this event a yearly highlight for us. Every maze offers something unique, but the creepy dolls room stood out as an unforgettable experience. The detail and atmosphere were enough to send shivers down anyone’s spine. Equally, the Saw-themed room was a treat, especially for fans of the films like us.
It was my (James’s) first time returning to the event in a while, and I was blown away by its new format—it’s an absolute upgrade, and I loved every second of it.
Once you finish the mazes, you can unwind at the bars and food vans conveniently located at the end of the route. Watching people get scared on the big screen adds to the entertainment, making the wait in this area a lot of fun. Another standout of the night was the Killu Clown Ultimate Championship, a hilarious and thrilling highlight. Dr. Fright’s always manages to incorporate clowns into the mix, and they nailed it again this year.
Overall, Dr. Fright's Halloween Nights: Route 666 Vol. 2 delivers an unforgettable, adrenaline-pumping experience. It’s the perfect combination of terror and fun, and I can’t wait to return next year!
