How We Conquered Phantasialand for Less Than a Day in London

2025
Phantasialand

Did you know you can visit Phantasialand in Germany on a day trip from London for less than the cost of a trip to Winter Wonderland or a typical day out in London?

We set ourselves the challenge of experiencing a European theme park for less than the price of a day at London’s Winter Wonderland—and we were blown away by the value for money.

A train into London, including all-day Underground travel, would have cost us £50 before we even paid for entry to Winter Wonderland or rode any attractions. In comparison, with a 5:55 am flight to Germany and a 7:55 pm flight back, we managed to enjoy nearly a full day at Phantasialand.

During our visit, we completed all the major rollercoasters, experienced some thrilling flat rides, and indulged in fantastic food and snacks—all without breaking the bank.

Overall, we had an incredible time at Phantasialand! Sure, squeezing all of this into a single day might seem a bit crazy, but when an opportunity like this comes along, it’s absolutely worth it. The rollercoasters at Phantasialand are truly world-class, and the immersive theming is on a whole different level compared to anything in the UK.

So how did we pull it off? Let’s break down the costs and show you the maths!

Total Costs Per Adult

• London & Winter Wonderland: £176
• Phantasialand: £107

Adding up all the costs, it’s clear that Phantasialand provides a far more affordable and value-packed experience for thrill-seekers—even as a day trip from London!
