Holly Hollow

Holly Hollow is the Christmas overlay of Haunted Hollow at Alton Towers for the 2025 festive season. Rather than completely retheming the pathway, the existing gothic scenery and character models remain in place — but each has been given a seasonal twist. The transformation builds directly on the detailed figures and props already installed along the route, enhancing them with carefully added festive touches.

The resident models throughout the pathway receive Christmas makeovers that complement their original designs. Familiar faces are dressed with scarves, Santa hats, wreaths, fairy lights, wrapped presents, and other playful seasonal additions. These extra props are integrated to feel natural within the crooked, storybook architecture of Haunted Hollow, creating a blend of spooky charm and festive humour rather than replacing the area’s identity.

Additional theming elements are installed throughout the walkway to tie everything together. Garlands, subtle lighting enhancements, and small scenic details are layered around the existing sets so the Christmas overlay feels intentional and immersive. The result is a walkthrough experience that keeps the quirky, slightly eerie atmosphere intact while giving it a distinctive holiday personality — all leading guests onward toward Alton Manor.
