Duel Retheme Teased At Start Of Scarefest Event
Friday 7th October 2022
Duel might have closed over a month ago but it hasn't been until the start of Scarefest that we received any clues as to what might be replacing the iconic attraction.

A temporary wall has been installed with signs added to it along with some pep holes. Where when you look through them you can see a video playing of a creepy doll in what looks like an attic. Signs have also been added around the area with a phone number, which if you call has a voicemail message about the ride closing.

No theming has been removed from the outside of the ride however looking backstage we can see items of theming that have been removed.

Duel At Alton Towers Closes
Tuesday 6th September 2022
Duel at Alton Towers has today closed its doors for the last time.

The last duel gun has been shot and the last scream screamed! We can't wait to see the changes made to the ride and the surrounding area.

Alton Towers Announces Duel Closure
Tuesday 23rd August 2022
Big changes are coming at Alton Towers Resort,  spotted in the exit of Duel a new sign has been installed leading us to believe that Duel will be closing on 6th September 2022.

06+09 = The Duel Is Over, This is my house

No more information is known or has been posted about Duel closing but it certainly looks like the end of the line for this fun family dark ride. People online have already started to speculate that the writing on the bottom line is written by Molly the little girl in the doll's house in the queue line.

As much as it hurts us to say goodbye to Duel, we can't wait to see what the park does to the attraction next!
