There’s plenty of work taking place around Chessington during the closed season, and a lot can already be seen from the areas of the park that remain open.

Rattlesnake is currently undergoing its winter maintenance, with work focused on the lift chain. All of the ride’s cars can still be spotted sitting on the track. Over in the Wild Asia area, Jungle Bouncers has received new permanent maintenance platforms installed behind each tower, suggesting long-term improvements.

Tomb Blaster is also seeing upgrades, with solar panels being installed on the roof, a positive step toward sustainability. Croc Drop remains closed for now, while Sea Storm is in the middle of its annual closed-season maintenance and is currently fully dismantled.

Tiger Rock is notably empty, with the tigers no longer present. This has sparked speculation about the area’s future, could it return in 2025, or will it receive a partial retheme? Finally, Elmer’s Flying Jumbos has had its arms and cars removed. Rumours suggest the ride may be getting new restraints during the closed season.

Overall, it’s clear that Chessington is using the closed season to carry out essential maintenance and upgrades across the park, hinting at an interesting year ahead.
