England Theme Parks Reopen

Saturday 4th July 2020

Thorpe Park, Alton Towers and many others around the UK have reopened following the latest UK Government announcement, saying that theme parks across England can reopen from the 4th July for day visits and short breaks.

Social distancing is being enforced at all parks with yellow dots, lines or markers being used throughout queue lines and in some cases, facemasks and coverings are mandatory on rollercoasters and some attractions. Tickets must be pre-booked at all Merlin theme parks before you visit.

Nick Varney, Merlin Entertainments’ CEO, said:

“We are delighted to be reopening following UK Government guidance. There has been a huge effort from our world- class Health and Safety team, and all our teams across our attractions, to ensure we are ready to safely welcome guests back through our doors. I’m personally very proud of their passion, commitment and hard work over the last few months.
