Fright Nights 2019 Construction Ramps Up

Thorpe Park
Tuesday 10th September 2019

Its the most wonderful time of the year, no not Christmas but the last few weeks until Spooky season officially begins! Work on building the last few attractions at Fright Nights has begun. Bounczilla closed on Sunday and Thorpe Park have packed up the huge bouncy castle and installed the shipping containers and some of the theming for The Walking Dead: Do or Die attraction located opposite the crust.

The layout of Do or Die seems to be the exact same as it was last year. Hopefully this year they would have worked out what works in the maze and what doesn't and change things up!

Over at Creek Freak Mascare, the sign has received some work since being installed a few days ago. We spotted that the blade object behind the sign was its own object sparking us into thinking that the blade might spin! Since first seeing the sign installed it appears to have been modified along with a motor and framework being installed. It looks like our theroy was correct the blade behind the sign will spin!

Other changes to the maze since we last saw it is a bridge to allow disabled access is currently being built over the old ride trough. Some new lights have been installed down the exit of the attraction, from what we can see inside the maze it looks like there could be two routes through the attraction. "good wood" and "bad wood" however we expect both routes to exit via the old Loggers Leap exit stairs. Spoiler photos from inside the maze can be found towards the end of the gallery.

Containmainment and other attractions around the park look to appear the same however due to the location of them any changes aren't visible until the press night for the event.

Keep an eye out on our social media channels over the next few days for news on live updates from the press launch of Fright Nights 2019 and other Halloween events.
