Fright Nights 2019 Fear Is Coming

The countdown till Fright Nights begins at Thorpe Park has begun. This year sees the Fright Nights branding change and from what we currently know there will be 3 new attractions. 1 new scare maze, located inside the old Loggers Leap station, a new show and possibly a scare zone.

Work on constructing the new maze inside the Loggers Leap station is well underway with the gap in the station where the ride used to go being leveled with a new floor to create a larger floor space for the attraction. Inside the main station building, it would appear the main section of the maze will be a chained wall strobe section. Hopefully with chainsaws and plenty of smoke. The entrance to the maze can be seen in the photos below marked with distressed signs saying "Danger No Trespassing" and the new wooden door. The side of the old queue line has now been covered up so we can't see inside, but we have high hopes for this new attraction. At the front of the building where the log flume used to exit a new fire escape seems to be being installed. Due to the maze building being an old ride building the attraction doesn't have enough exits to safely run. 

Around the rest of the park, Platform 15 appears to have a new queue line route and entrance. The old Platform 15 sign has been installed in a new location, along the old Canada Creek Railway Platform. We believe that the maze will queue along the old Dead Creek Woods path. Along with this new queue line entrance and path into Platform 15, the ending of the maze appears to be slightly different this year. A new building is currently being built rather than a temporary tent being installed it looks like the ending will be more refined this year. 

Over at The Blair Witch Project, the maze looks to have been extended, new plants and fences look to have been installed since our last visit to the park. New lighting appears to have been installed in some sections of the park, hopefully, some coloured gels will be added in time for the start of Fright Nights. 

The roaming team that walks around the park have also changed to build up the hype for Fright Nights. Remaining family-friendly the team has becoming a family of zombies. Although they prefer not to be called the Z word. 

No Annual Pass Preview event for Fright Nights has been announced yet but we expect something will be organized closer to the event starting.
