Fright Nights 2021 Jungle Escape Further Removed

Thorpe Park
Saturday 14th August 2021

Two weeks after we first reported Jungle Escape being removed, we've got more confirmation that the space (that previously housed Fright Nights classics such as Studio 13 and The Asylum) could once again be home to a new Fright Nights attraction.

Since our last update, more set pieces look to have been removed from the building and the skips are now full! With the entrance to Jungle Escape left open you can also see through the fence and into the building to see nothing is left! (From public areas of course.) Even when looking through one of the fire exits, more proof can be seen that Jungle Escape is now indeed, gone! Inside the Nemesis Inferno Photo unit, the tunnel previously used to slide down to escape jungle escape appears to have been plugged to stop any guests climbing up it. In the yard area we also spotted what looks to be new walls ready to be installed, our theory would be you would enter the same way you would before into jungle escape but take a sharp left then exit through the old Asylum exit / the double doors.

On social media, the park has said "we can confirm Jungle Escape has now retired to the ‘volts’ to allow us to carry out critical power work." could this word "volts" be a clue to the theme or name of this new attraction? One thing we did notice, is that some of the pathway and road in has been dug up so this could be a true story, but we keep our fingers crossed!

Around the rest of the park, Platform 15 looks like it might be having some work done to it and Creek Freek doesn't look any different. The stage for Oktoberfest is all set up, along with what looks to be a huge smoke machine under the stage.

Still no news on this year line-up, apart from The Crows, but it looks like it's going to be a good year.
