Fright Nights 2022 September Construction Insight

Thorpe Park
Sunday 4th September 2022

It's our last major Fright Nights Construction update before the event begins in 3 weeks' time but we're super excited about this year's event and work is continuing around the park to prepare for a new scare zone and the new maze being built next to The Swarm Island.

The path connecting Saw The Ride to Rush and Zodiac has now been closed with props for the Crows scare zone starting to be installed. Crosses can be seen installed and placed next to the fences down the pathway. It would also appear that sections of the Saw Alive queue line have been cleaned up, is it possible you could loop around the old queue line to hear more of the story and then go through the village of the crows?

Wooden door frames and set pieces can be seen for the new scare zone called Deaths Doors which runs under the Nemesis Inferno lift hill. No themed set pieces can be seen yet but we're sure over the next few days the route of the scare zone will become more apparent.

Work on the new maze also continues with more wooden walls installed. A huge wall now covers what we think will be the exit of the maze, a big cutout for doors can be seen at the end when riding the swarm. Peeking through the bushes you can see work continuing on the new maze on a busy Sunday! Look at the side of the maze from the swarm exit, doors have started to be installed on the containers, meaning progress is being made, the last time we looked at the maze from the exit we could see huge wooden panels inside the maze. With these doors now installed there's no more looking until opening night!

Across the rest of the park, Carnival has now been removed with lots of concrete basses for lighting rigs left in the area. Two concrete bases for lighting towers have been installed in the Stealth plaza and a new lighting tower has been installed outside the tidal wave entrance.

This might be our last Fright Nights Construction update for this year but be sure to check out our socials for cool Flordia content coming soon! We might even run a live blog from Halloween Horror Nights...
