Fright Nights season is creeping closer, and it’s all systems go at Thorpe Park as the park gears up for another terrifyingly good time.
Over at the Stitches maze location, progress is moving quickly — the tent and shipping containers have now been delivered and built, and they’re ready for the set to be installed. Props, themed walls, and other eerie decor can already be seen stacked outside, waiting to bring the maze to life.
Elsewhere in the park, The Crows of Mawkin Meadow has had more of its set delivered, now lying in wait for installation. Meanwhile, the old Saw Alive pathway is still open to the public, but don’t expect that to last long — we’re predicting it’ll be closed off soon to make way for scare maze preparations.
Maintenance is also ongoing in the backstage areas. The old ramp used for a trailers — once the entrance to the I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! maze — is being replaced. It now serves as a fire escape route for Trailers, so this looks to be just part of the park’s routine safety upkeep.
Excitingly, Dead Beat has seen some noticeable developments too. A brand new tent has been installed at the front of the maze.
Over by the Thorpe Park Mega Store, there’s something curious going on — fencing has gone up with signage that reads, “Entertainments please do not take” Could this be a Fanta-themed pop-up area like in previous years?
As for the rest of the park, it's been quiet on a few other fronts — no visible activity yet at Lucifer’s Lair, Creature Campus, or the new scare zone. But with Fright Nights fast approaching, it’s likely only a matter of time before things start moving there too.
We think the Mardi Gras promotion artwork by the Tea Cups could have a fantastic rebrand... with a little bit of a ai makeover
Stay tuned for more updates as construction ramps up and the horror begins to take shape!
