Legoland Windsor has unveiled further details of their plans for the next 10 years, consisting of adding a new attraction, more car parking spaces and further accommodation in the form of lodges. The resort could look totally different in the next few years.
Back in 2015 the park was denied planning permission to build a Haunted House ride. However following the parks successful appeal against the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council’s refusal they will now be building the ride in 2019 or 2021.
With the Castle Hotel currently under construction the park will continue to build more accommodation over the next few years. Building on the newly acquired land at the front of the park, the park is planning to build a holiday village consisting of 450 lodges. Built in two phases, phase one would be 120 lodges for families, 10 large lodges, and 20 lodges shaped in the form of Lego barrels.
If you've been to the park recently you would know that parking is an issue and always has been! The park plans to make significant improvements to parking over the next few years. Currently the extension carpark is flooded and has been for the past few years. Leaving cars stuck after park close sometimes. The new plans would see more spaces created using hard materials like tarmac etc.
