Sections Of Track For Jumanji Rollercoaster Installed

Chessington World Of Adventures
Wednesday 16th November 2022

Watching a rollercoaster be put together isn't something you get to see every day, however today we managed to witness something very exciting! During a very short space of time, we witnessed two sections of the track get bolted together to form the start of the inversion of the new World of Jumanji rollercoaster.

Piece by piece sections of green track was lifted into the air and bolted together with the help of a crane and lots of hard work from ground staff. When in place bolts were put in place and tightened. The first section of the track we watched put into place was then temporarily held up by a cherry picker whilst the second piece of track was strapped up, rotated then lifted into place. The first section of the track we saw being installed wasn't supported by any support so it was crucial the second bit was installed which was bolted onto a support to take its weight and to complete the circuit.

Not something you get to see every day, but very exciting and a moment in theme park history!

Around the rest of the site work on the station appears to be progressing well with guttering added to the roof of the building. Work on the inside of the station appears to have begun with wooden walls spotted inside. Sections of the station are still exposed, so it's going to be hard work to keep the building dry during the winter months. There also appears to be a lot of work going on around the site to remove excess soil and to prepare the site for crane access, over the next few weeks lots of track is going to be moving around the site.
