Thorpe Park Marid Gras begins in just 5 days, starting on Thursday 19th May this is the first year the park has done a Mardi Gras event.
Not all of the details about the event has been revealed yet but work has begun on installing theming in some sections of the park. A huge stage is in the process of being built outside Detonator with bright colours and a mardi gras mask fitted onto it. A small mini-stage can be seen outside the Nemesis Inferno queue line. Welcome to Mardi Gras poles ansd signs have been installed at the entrance to Angry Birds Land, outside Nemesis Inferno near Mr Monkeys Banana Ride and in the Stealth plaza area.
Unlike previous events, it seems that the main space for Marid Gras will be in the Angry Birds Area.

EDIT: A Mardi Gras themed vehicle has appeared in a staff area with staff still working on theming the vehicle. Could this just be for entertainment roaming around or for a parade?
