Toxicator Opens at Alton Towers on 15th March 2025
Alton Towers Resort has unveiled thrilling new drone footage of its record-breaking new attraction, Toxicator, ahead of its grand opening on Saturday, 15th March 2025. This first-of-its-kind elevated Top Spin ride will subject thrillseekers to intense centrifugal forces, extreme spins, and high-speed flips, delivering a pulse-pounding, gravity-defying experience like no other.
In the video, we also get a first glimpse at the music that could be playing around the ride, adding to the intense and immersive atmosphere of Toxicator.
Located in Forbidden Valley, Toxicator stands alongside the recently revamped Nemesis Reborn, adding another high-intensity thrill to the area. The newly released footage gives fans a first-look at the dizzying ride cycle, revealing never-before-seen perspectives of its incredible speed and force. Guests eager to experience the ride’s first-ever spins in the dark can do so as part of the Alton After Dark event on opening night.
Toxicator: The Ultimate Spin Experience
Toxicator isn’t just any Top Spin ride—it’s the highest and most intense of its kind, towering at 78ft, thanks to its 16ft elevated platform. The only Top Spin ride in the world to be lifted above ground level, it allows spectators to stand underneath, watching every flip and twist from below.
Inspired by the mysterious Phalanx organisation, Toxicator plays a crucial role in extracting and refining toxic saliva from the Nemesis creature, converting it into a highly volatile chemical solution. The ride’s dramatic green-lit water fountains represent this powerful substance, adding a cinematic visual element to the experience.
