The award-winning horror spectacle in Rust near Freiburg: ‘Traumatica – Festival of Fear’ with 7 horror attractions
Seven horror attractions and over 150 terrifying actors and artists – ‘Traumatica - Festival of Fear’ will once again bring the nightmares to life with monsters and dark figures lurking from 25th September to 9th November 2024. Only the bravest will stand a chance among the clowns, witches and other grisly creatures. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where evil has taken over once again, many a creature awaits the daring visitors who enter the festival. But a lot is also happening behind the curtains! The horror event at Europa-Park, which has won multiple international awards, is sure to make your blood run cold.
Cinema Macabre - RISE OF ELEANOR
Last year, Eleanor, a creature created by the Shadows, was able to find her new home in the Wax Museum. She causes her victims to tremble with fear, then extracts their adrenaline-filled blood to give to her masters. Her hunger for adrenaline has grown immeasurably, and with it, her power. Eleanor will show no mercy. Welcome to Cinema Macabre!
Murderdome
Cannon shots, screams and the thunderous bangs of clashing metal ring through the Murderdome. From the ashes of the venerable Resistance, The Wasted were born. They are a gang of untamed punks, armed with youthful recklessness and heavy artillery, always on the lookout for thrills and ready to give everything in the fight for freedom. The Wasted have created their own arena and it is bigger than you might imagine.
Unknown - OUTBREAK
There is a problem on the spaceship Unknown. The aliens have made themselves comfortable and want to stay, while a virus also spreads. It cannot be stopped without help. Anyone who dares to enter the spaceship will automatically become part of the rescue team: can the freshly-developed antidote be distributed via the spaceship’s ventilation system before it is too late?
Tarot House - HELLS GATE
Dark forces have always surrounded the Tarot House. After sacrificing enough people, Madame Monroe was finally able to use her circle to summon the demon she sought to ally with. But at what cost? The opening of the Gates of Hell has caused Traumatica to merge with the Underworld. Demonic forces have taken over the Tarot House, as well as everyone inside.
The Hill
It seems as if the walls between the human world and the darkness are collapsing, and in this previously uninhabited area, something lurks. No one knows what exactly lives there, but one thing is known: it is snatching away the children, and leaving only worried parents behind.
Studio - 13
And action! What better opportunity than this very festival to find actors for the latest film from "Traumatica Pictures"? Lots of people, and so lots of potential, all in one place. Applications are being accepted at the reception in the new film studio. There is a studio tour on-site, during which you can actually see how monsters are made. However, the line between reality and fiction is very thin. And on set, things don't always go as planned...
Grim´s Funhouse - FREAK SHOW
The freaks are in town! Grim and his gang are certainly not deterred by all the events at the festival. Quite the opposite in fact, as their hunger for entertainment and fun is greater than ever. New victims are needed and as we know, the definition of fun is always in the eye of the beholder. So what will attract more new visitors to the funhouse? A freak show. The decision was made rather quickly, but there were more than enough freaks at the festival already. First locked up, then driven mad, they have been sent to the arena to Grim's delight.
This year we will also have the VideoBooth@SCARECAP on-site, giving you the opportunity to capture your own scary moment and share it directly online. The video booth system offers the opportunity to create unique memories in a place where filming or taking photos is usually prohibited. Infrared cameras guarantee brilliant recordings of the highest quality, with sound of course. Thanks to the instant sharing function, the results can be shared immediately via social media.
In addition to the scare attractions, the attractions Pegasus and Matterhorn Nlitz are also open. Curse of Cassandra VR is also open once again for the intrepid visitors. Exclusively during Traumatica, experience the popular illusion swing with VR headsets and immerse yourself in a terrifying virtual world.
The spectacular Traumatica Ice Show always takes place at 9pm and 10:30pm.
Every Friday, Saturday, as well as on 31st October, the exclusive Mystery Experience Eden Manor – Balthazar’s Secrets will open. The mysterious lounge opens its doors from 10:30pm, where there are many theatrical, interactive and virtual surprises to be found among the ambience of the old manor house.
The new VIP Experience, FEAR Inc., includes the services of the regular ticket, an unlimited Shoxterpass, a meal and 3 free drinks, a reserved seat in the Traumatica ice show, the VIP Experience FEAR Inc. and a separate VIP area on the event grounds. ‘Traumatica’ takes place every Friday to Sunday from 27th September to 9th November, 2024, excluding 29th September. Additional dates on 24th and 31st October as well as 7th November. The preview day is on 25th September. Tickets are available in advance online.
