World Of Jumanji Rollercoaster Track 90% Completed

Chessington World Of Adventures
Friday 23rd December 2022

It's time for our last look at the World of Jumanji before the year closes! The progress this new area has made over the past few months has been crazy, we've gone from an old picnic filled to a brand new and exciting area opening in 2023.

Track installation for the rollercoaster rumoured to be named, Mandrill Mayhem has continued with the helix and fake end of the track installed along with the corner after the inversion completed. With these sections of track now installed and bolted together, we're looking at 90% of the rollercoaster now installed with only the spike left! With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, we expect the site has now closed until January.

Work on installing the spinning flat ride Ostrich Stampede appears to have almost been completed! Since our last look at the flat ride, seats have been installed and we've had a glimpse at some of the theming for the attraction such as painted seats and a section of theming located on the back of the middle seat. A big package can be seen next to the ride which we believe is the ride plc. (The brains and control system for the ride)

Around the rest of the area, more planting has been installed, and work on building a huge building presumably for on-ride photos or a mini shop continues near Mamba Strike. Work on installing theming inside the ride station has also begun with themed wooden walls seen near the staircases which will allow guests to access both sides of the station.

A huge shipping container has also been lifted into place into the area, with an interesting front to it. It appears that the front car from Ripsaw's old console building at Alton Towers is being reused and given a new lease of life as theming for the World of Jumanji at Chessington.

This will be our last construction update for 2022, we can't wait to see this area open next year!
