The London Bridge Experience Summer 2022 Review

2022
The London Bridge Experience

Deep below London Bridge is The London Bridge Experience, a live-action history lesson about the history of London. Built within the archways of London this experience is like no other found in London, you can recreate the smell, small spaces and the atmosphere of being deep underground in Central London.

After many years of walking past The London Bridge Experience, we decided to finally take a visit and see what all of the hype was about and it's fair to say we weren't disappointed! You might be reading this thinking, isn't this just a clone of the London Dungeons but don't be fooled this is very different. You wouldn't get an actor-led experience followed by a 10-minute scare maze at the London Dungeons.

Starting off by walking down old metal stairs you decend deep into the archways of London and end up in your first room where your meet with  darkness and loud noises and the familiar noise of a ticking clock. We don't want to ruin the experience for those that have never visited before but all of the rooms your travel into a highly themed, and the actors really know how to work the space and scare guests!

During covid and lots of entertainment places being forced to close management underwent a reshuffle of the venue and decided to move a few scenes around. So if you've visited before you should definitely visit again and see what's changed!

Our favourite part of the whole experience has to be the final section which is the scare maze. The smell, theming and tight corners work so well and somehow actors appear from the back of the group right in front of your face in a matter of seconds.

The whole experience lasts for around an hour from start to finish and you finish up by walking through The Monster bar, then through a small museum dedicated to the history of London Bridge. The end of the attraction then exits into the Bierkeller event space where you can sit down and grab a bite to eat and a drink. Or if that doesn't take your fancy there's a Creams deserts parlour next door!

One thing that The London Bridge Experience does which we think is really good is the guardian experience. Where younger guests can go through the experience with a torch and an actor and have a more tamed-down version of the experience. This is something we've never seen before, The London Dungeons does late-night experiences for adults only but we would love to see something like this rolled out at the Dungeons across the country.

We had a horrible time and we loved every second of it! We couldn't recommend a visit more.
